6.0/10

I had a pleasant stay at Thon Hotel Eu, with clean and spacious rooms, but there were significant downsides, such as the severely limited window opening and the extreme heat from the heating system. While the breakfast offered a fantastic variety, I found the high price for it to be quite off-putting. Overall, it was a decent experience, but there are improvements needed for comfort. 😅

Rooms
7.0
My room was spacious and clean, equipped with a Nespresso coffee-maker and all necessary amenities, making my stay comfortable. However, the heating system caused the room to become uncomfortably hot, which was frustrating. 🌡️
Service
7.0
The staff were friendly and accommodating when issues arose, but there was a negative experience with one staff member regarding the takeaway policy at breakfast, which left a bad impression.
Location
8.0
The location was great, situated near the EU buildings and close to the metro. This made exploring Brussels quite convenient, even if it was a bit distant from the old town. 🚇
Dining
6.0
The breakfast menu was impressive with many choices, but the price of 36 euros was excessive. I couldn't justify it, especially with nearby options being limited on weekends.
Facilities
8.0
Facilities like the gym and sauna were quite good, and the Wi-Fi was reliable. Yet, the experience would have been better if there were more accessible water stations and improved room cleaning policies.

5.0/10

I recently stayed at Thon Hotel Eu in Brussels, and it was a pleasant experience overall. The modern decor and cleanliness of the hotel stood out to me, making my stay comfortable. The best part was definitely the breakfast, with its very nice variety. However, I did encounter some issues with noise during my stay that disrupted my sleep.

Rooms
8.0
My room was clean and provided all the essentials, but the view was a bit grim. Despite that, it was well-maintained and offered great amenities like an iron and a coffee machine.
Service
7.0
The staff were friendly and attentive, although the check-in process wasn't particularly amazing. They did a great job servicing the rooms, making my stay more enjoyable.
Location
8.0
The hotel is conveniently located just two blocks from the EU quartier, making it easy for my business needs. However, the area isn't the most charming, which is something to consider.
Dining
9.0
The breakfast was absolutely fantastic. I loved the variety including Belgian chocolate and a fresh orange juice machine, truly a highlight of my stay!
Facilities
8.0
The gym and sauna were well-equipped and complimented my overall wellness routine during the trip. Plus, the reliable Wi-Fi throughout the hotel was a definite plus.

7.0/10

My stay at Thon Hotel Eu was quite pleasant overall. The location near the metro made it easy to get around Brussels, and the breakfast was definitely a highlight with its impressive variety. However, I found the room size a bit cramped for my liking, and the elevator situation was frustrating at times, often leading to long waits.

Rooms
7.0
I found the room to be clean and spacious, but the small size was a bit disappointing. A comfortable bed made up for it somewhat. The air conditioning worked well, keeping the room cool.
Service
8.0
The staff were generally friendly and helpful, which contributed positively to my experience. However, I did encounter some issues with the check-in process that left me feeling a bit frustrated.
Location
9.0
Being so close to a metro station was a major plus. I could easily reach different parts of the city. It's in a quieter area, not far from the EU institutions, which was convenient for my trip.
Dining
9.0
Breakfast was the standout meal. The variety offered was impressive, with unique items that I thoroughly enjoyed. However, I didn't dine at the hotel restaurant for dinner, so I can't speak to that experience.
Facilities
7.0
The hotel's facilities were well-maintained, and I appreciated the good Wi-Fi connection throughout my stay. However, the elevator system could certainly use an improvement, as I often waited too long during peak times.

5.6/10

I had a great experience at Thon Hotel Eu in Brussels. The clean and spacious rooms provided a comfortable atmosphere, and I appreciated the attentive staff. While the breakfast was a bit pricey at €35, it was well worth it for the excellent variety and quality of food. The only downside was limited nearby dining options, but the hotel restaurant had some delicious offerings.

Rooms
9.0
The room was clean, spacious, and equipped with a comfortable bed, coffee machine, and even a bath, which made my stay quite enjoyable. I also loved that I could open the windows a bit for fresh air.
Service
10.0
The staff were really wonderful and attentive, going out of their way to ensure my requests were accommodated, including letting me check in early. It made my stay quite pleasant and I felt genuinely welcomed.
Location
8.0
The hotel's location was ideal, right next to the Malbeek metro station, making it easy to get around the city. Although it was a bit distant from the main attractions, a 30-minute walk didn't bother me at all.
Dining
9.0
Breakfast was excellent, featuring a huge selection of both cold and warm dishes, with unique offerings like homemade marmalade and honey from the hotel's rooftop bee farm. The hotel restaurant offered delicious meals, though a bit on the pricier side.
Facilities
8.0
The gym was well-equipped, although small and somewhat warm, which I found a bit uncomfortable during peak hours. However, the overall facilities met my needs quite nicely.

6.6/10

My stay at Thon Hotel EU was overall quite pleasant. The rooms were spacious, clean, and well-stocked with amenities like a Nespresso coffee-maker, but I did notice some minor issues like the shower door not closing properly, which was a bit inconvenient. The breakfast buffet was a highlight, offering a great variety of hot and cold dishes at a fantastic weekend price. The hotel's location was convenient for business, though it was noticeably quiet on weekends as the surrounding area felt very much like an office district.

Rooms
8.0
The room was spacious and clean, equipped with excellent amenities like a mini-fridge and boiler, but the shower had some issues with water leakage. The TV was oddly positioned, facing the window instead of the bed.
Service
8.0
Most of the staff were friendly and attentive, making the stay enjoyable. However, during my early check-in, it felt like the experience could have been better. I heard that the management is responsive, which is comforting.
Location
7.0
The hotel is ideally located near the European Commission and the metro, making it easy to explore Brussels. That said, the area felt more like a business hub, so it was quite quiet on weekends.
Dining
8.0
The breakfast buffet was impressive, offering a vast variety of items, including homemade products and honey in comb. However, I found the restaurant pricing for dinner to be on the expensive side compared to nearby dining options.
Facilities
8.0
The hotel provides great amenities, including a well-equipped gym and sauna. I appreciated the fast Wi-Fi connectivity for both leisure and work. Yet, the water refill situation could be improved by adding filling stations on each floor.
